Tatopani Package

Tatopani, located near the Tibet border, is the nearest and famous “hot spring” that attracts an amazing number of domestic and international tourists. This is largely because of its natural beauty and its therapeutic aspect. Taking a bath in the hot spring is believed to cure minor back and joint aches. In addition, shopping at the border is an excellent experience!
The Borderlands Group offers a package which allows you to enjoy the hot spring and a visit to the Tibetan border. Janai Purnima

Janai Purnima, August 24, 2010, is also known as the Sacred Thread Festival. Hindu men, especially Brahmins and Chettris perform the annual change of Janai, a cream colored cotton string worn across the chest or tied around the wrist of the right hand. In addition, Raksha Bandhan is also celebrated on this day and men, women and children regardless of their caste tie a sacred yellow thread around their wrist. The thread is believed to bring good luck to the wearer. The Borderlands welcomes all to come to the resort during this one of a kind festival and try your hands at the various fun and adventurous activities that we offer.

Buddha Jayanti

Buddha Jayanti (May 27, 2010) marks the birth of Lord Buddha, his enlightenment and attainment of Nirvana. The Borderlands celebrates this annual event which is a very important festival for the Buddhists and for all peace loving people. Celebrate and enjoy a peaceful Buddha Jayanti with a retreat to the breathtaking Borderlands Eco Adventure Resort. We invite you all to come and be a part of this annual celebration.

Christmas

Christmas, annually celebrated on December 25, commemorates the birth of Jesus. Originally celebrated by the Christian population, the festival has now become equally popular among non-Christians as well. Christmas can be the perfect time to gift your family and friends with a package that can include rafting, hiking, abseiling and a stay at the Borderlands Eco Adventure Resort, renowned for its scenic beauty and modern facilities.

Fagu purnima

Fagu Purnima or the festival of colors is one of the most colorful, playful and a very popular festival of Nepal. People from all walks of life and age celebrate in this spring time celebration. Splashing water and throwing color at others is the highlight of the festival. This year, the festival falls on February 28, 2010. The Borderlands Eco Adventure Resort has large sprawling terraces where you can celebrate this fun activity with your friends or spend your time relaxing in the soothing natural environment of the area.

Nepali New Year

The Nepali New Year holds a special meaning for the Nepalese people and they celebrate it throughout the nation with a lot of merrymaking and fun. The Nepali New Year falls on April 14, 2010 and marks the beginning of the new Bikram Sambat year. The Borderlands Group organizes a program during the Nepali New Year so that young and old alike can hail the New Year together with their family and friends amidst this enchanting hideaway!

English New Year

The New Year is a time to rejoice with your family and friends. What would be a better place than the Borderlands Eco Adventure Resort where you will find all the luxuries of modern life. Halloween

Though the modern day celebration of Halloween still bears traces of its Celtic origins, it has come down to a cross-cultural stew of folk traditions. The main highlight of this event, which is celebrated every year on October 31, is that people disguise themselves by wearing different costumes. The Borderlands welcomes you to be a part of its Halloween celebrations which is mainly targeted at the children.

Thanksgiving

Traditionally Thanksgiving Day is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude and is now primarily celebrated as a secular holiday. This year, Thanksgiving falls on November 25, 2010 and the Borderlands Eco Adventure Resort is all set to organize the Thanksgiving Dinner, a lavish feast of the most delicious cuisine. Come and celebrate this event amidst a gathering of your family and friends.

Dashain/Deepawali

Dashain is the most important and the longest festival of the Nepalese. The festival is celebrated for 10 days during which Goddess Durga is worshipped with much devotion. Animal sacrifices are also made in the God’s name. This year the festival falls on October 17, 2010 and is a perfect time to spend with your loved ones while enjoying the ideal weather (away from the hustle and bustle of the city), garnering knowledge about the rich culture of the local people and trying out the sumptuous meals at the Borderlands Eco Adventure Resort.
Deepawali- Deepawali, popularly known as the festival of lights, is one of the most important festivals of Hindus. The festival, which gives importance to the Goddess of wealth- Lakshmi, is celebrated for 5 days. Lakshmi Puja falls on November 5 while Bhaitika falls on November 8, 2010. We invite you all to come and be captivated by the beauty of the Borderlands Eco Adventure Resort which will be all decked up with lights. You can also enjoy the multi adventure activities that we have to offer and take pleasure in our warm hospitality.

Easter

Enjoy your Easter holidays at the Borderlands Eco Adventure Resort and indulge in adventure sports activities like: rafting, abseiling, hiking etc. To ensure that you have the time of your life during Easter, we will also incorporate fun activities like Easter Bunny and Easter egg hunts!
