Introduction

WELCOME TO THE BORDERLANDS GROUP’S FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER!

Spring is finally here and it is a great relief from the bitter cold of the last couple of months. With new blossoms blooming everywhere, Nepal is at its best. What better time to visit Nepal than in the Spring when the temperature is mildly warm in low lands while moderate in higher altitudes with plenty of opportunities to have tryst with the breathtaking mountain views. It is also the time when you get to see the national flower of Nepal, the rhododendron, which sweeps the ascending altitudes with its magnanimous color and beauty.

With a rise in the number of tourists visiting the country, we, at the Borderlands, are hoping that this season will be a great one for Nepal and for all of us, as Nepal is and has always been a very safe destination for tourists.

Renowned nationally and internationally as a company that gives top priority to the safety of its clients while ensuring a memorable trip; allow us, the Borderlands Group, the opportunity to show you our world-class service in probably the most exotic destination in the world. Should you decide to visit Nepal, do keep us on the top of your list as we promise you the experience of a lifetime. We offer a variety of services from Professional and Leadership Development trainings to mountain biking, trekking, rafting, abseiling or canyoning in one of the many natural falls in the country.

Constructive criticism and suggestions are always welcome from our valued readers, clients, friends and fellow people!

3. Borderlands’ Train the Trainers successful- A training program for the staff of the Borderlands Group was organized on February 22, 2009 at Balaju with the aim of further building their skills as a facilitator and instructor. The daylong event focused on the various aspects that a good facilitator/ instructor should possess namely: able to express yourself well through better communication, able to show leadership qualities, make the participants understand what it is all about and the most important factor: positively affect the participants through the various games so that they can apply their learning in their workplace. borderland-train-the-trainer

Altogether, there were 19 participants and they were divided into 2 groups for the various games. Though most of the participants already knew about the details of the games and how to play them, they had never actually practiced it. So, it was a very good learning experience for them as it taught them a lot of new things which would assist them in future programs.
