Introduction
With the launching of Nepal Tourism Year 2011, all are hopeful that the days ahead will be a good one, not just for the tourism entrepreneurs of Nepal but for the industry as a whole. Spring is in the air and the streets of Thamel and other major attractions in the country are filled with tourists who want to soak in the sight, smell and sound of Nepal.
February was a busy month for the Borderlands Group. The month saw Mr. Megh Ale, Managing Director of the Group, heading off to Japan to participate in a month-long training and dialogue program that was organized by Japan International Cooperation Agency- Sustainable Tourism Network. On the other hand, Ultimate Descents Nepal (a part of the Borderlands Group) participated in PATA Adventure Travel and Responsible Tourism Conference and Mart 2010 in addition to organizing a number of rafting trips during the month. Likewise, Nature-treks.com was busy with various bird-watching programs and planning for the upcoming treks.

2. Nature-treks.com organizes a Birdwatching trip- A birdwatching trip was organized by Nature-treks.com/ Himalaya on February 12, 2010 for two Scottish enthusiasts. more

3. Ultimate Descents Nepal participates in PATA Adventure Mart- From February 1-5, 2010, Ultimate Descents Nepal actively participated in PATA Adventure Travel and Responsible Tourism Conference and Mart 2010 (ATRTCM) held at Soaltee Crowne Plaza, Kathmandu. more

4. Borderlands Group becomes a part of the launching ceremony of NTY 2011- 30 participants from the Borderlands Group participated in the launching of ‘Nepal Tourism Year 2011’ campaign on February 26, 2010. more
