Introduction

The beginning of 2010 has indeed been a good one for the Borderlands Group as the company saw quite a number of positive changes. The Borderlands team is hopeful that these changes will better assist them to reach out to a larger group of clients and offer some of the best outdoor adventure activities while keeping in mind the safety of its valued clients. Some of the major highlights during the month of January are: new infrastructures at the Borderlands Eco Adventure Resort are in their final phase of completion, the company is the proud owner of a new luxury bus, and the ‘Borderlands/Gokarna Forest Resort- High Rope Course’ has finally been launched. In addition, the Group is currently working on developing village stays and community eco lodges in collaboration with Mr. Mahabir Pun, a Magsaysay Award winner who has done much in terms of village development.
With these new advancements, the Borderlands Group, on one hand, can additionally contribute to its Corporate Social responsibility and on the other hand, guarantees that it will further excel in the services that are offered to the clients while ensuring that they have the experience of a lifetime. 2. Maha Shivaratri

Maha Shivaratri, one of the most important festivals of the Hindus falls on February 12, 2010. The festival is principally celebrated by offerings of fruits and Bael leaves to Lord Shiva, all day fasting and an all night long vigil. Maha Shivaratri marks the night when Lord Shiva performed the 'Tandava' and it is also believed that Lord Shiva was married to Parvati on this day.
