Introduction

WELCOME TO THE BORDERLANDS GROUP’S JUNE NEWSLETTER!

The monsoon is finally here and thus, Kathmandu is relieved from the hot summer days. With the start of the monsoon, the Borderlands Group saw quite a number of interesting activities. The month of June saw the Borderlands Group’s Managing Director, Mr. Megh Ale, heading off to the United States of America to participate in the Beahrs Environmental Leadership Program organized by the University of California at Berkeley. During the said period, a staff retreat program was also organized, at Jiri, Dolakha for the staffs of the Borderlands Eco Adventure Resort.

As of now, we are working towards getting more clients for our Professional Development Programs (PDP) and Team Building events in the near future.

The Borderlands is a pioneer of canyoning in Asia and was the first to introduce this adventure sports in Nepal in 1997, at a time when the term ‘canyoning’ was unheard of in this part of the world. Since then, the company (www.borderlandsgroup.com) has been running the activity in addition to other multi-adventure activities including: white water rafting (www.udnepal.com), nature treks (www.nature-treks.com), rock climbing, professional development programs, leadership development programs and team building events, heritage walks, trekking, mountain biking, kayaking and hiking etc. For information about our PDP programs or the various multi-adventure tourism activities that we offer or if you simply want to book a trip, please feel free to contact us.

Constructive criticism and suggestions are always welcome from our valued readers, clients, and friends!
