Introduction
WELCOME TO THE BORDERLANDS GROUP’S NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER!
With the prospects of having an early and cold winter, the need to lobby to counteract the various factors that contribute to climate change has increased. The snow-capped Himalayas, which Nepal is famous for, looks barren without the snow- a bitter truth of climate change. As a responsible tourism company, the Borderlands Group (www.borderlandsgroup.com) has initiated various measures that assist in the preservation and conservation of the natural environ in which it operates. Through this newsletter, the Group, in its own simple way, wants to encourage people to take corrective measures before it is too late. The Borderlands Group already lobbies for the preservation of rivers in Nepal through Nepal River Conservation Trust (NRCT). In addition, Borderlands Group, through specific rafting trips, contributes a dollar to NRCT, an organization that plays an active role in the preservation and conservation of rivers in Nepal as well as globally. The Borderlands Group appeals to everyone to become aware about the impact of climate change and to act now to avoid further deterioration of the environment.
Constructive criticism and suggestions from our valued readers, clients & friends are always welcome!
