The Borderlands is deeply committed to Corporate Social Responsibility, actively promoting environmental conservation and sustainable tourism. It hosts the Annual River Festival on the scenic Bhote Koshi River and advocates for its preservation. The Borderlands’s Managing Director, Mr. Megh Ale, is also the Founder President of the Nepal River Conservation Trust (NRCT), which works to protect Nepal’s Himalayan river systems, preserve cultural heritage, and promote eco-friendly tourism.
The Borderlands supports the annual Bagmati River Festival on World Environment Day (June 5) and Wetlands Day celebrations. Borderlands Resort operates as an Eco Adventure Resort, minimizing plastic use, conserving local forests, and promoting tree plantation awareness. Moreover, The Borderlands empowers the local community by employing 90% of its resort staff from nearby villages.
